Zen Cart Version 1.5.5F Released

PayPal has been calling and emailing all of it's customers regarding the 12/3/14 deadline for making sure their retail websites have had the POODLE SSLv3 fix applied. Unfortunately, some of the PayPal CSR's are saying something to the effect that "we scanned your site on the 21st and it is not compliant". This is simply NOT TRUE. After speaking with two people from PayPal today, both indicated to me that they do not have the capability of "scanning" your website. They both indicated that they were "on a campaign" to call all customers to make them aware of the deadline. This is because they got so much flack from turning the SSLv3 off for a day in October, then they turned it back on. If you have had the POODLE SSLv3 fix applied to your site, to my knowledge, and from what the 2 CSR's indicated, your site will be fine. I am also finding that people are apparently reading the Merchant Response Guide from PayPal and going into their PayPal accounts and re-issuing API keys. This is all well and good if you wish to do that (it is not required), but if you do.... you need to then copy and paste that information into your Zen Cart Admin by going to Modules>Payment and clicking to edit PayPal Web Payments Pro or Express Checkout - whichever one you have turned on. If you do not change the admin area, you will immediately begin getting a 10002 error and no one will be able to check out. Hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving! Judy Gunderson
