IMPORTANT Security Fix for ALL versions of Zen Cart

This patch is for ALL versions of Zen Cart up to 1.5.6B It affects product notifications which could give access to the database and open your database up to an SQL injection by a hacker. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you either get this patch installed, or upgrade to the latest version of Zen Cart that has the patch in it already. It contains one file that does not overwrite any core files. You can read more about it and / or download the file to upload yourself if you have the time and capability at this Zen Cart post. Zen Cart 1.5.6C Released

Late last night, the Zen Cart developers released a new version of Zen Cart - 1.5.6C which includes the security patch above and also bug fixes and security fixes. One of the good things in this latest version that I am hoping will work is Improvements to anti-spam for account creation and contact-us forms. People have been getting inundated with bogus account signups and having their contact form spammed by robots. Zen Cart 1.5.6B Released

Last week the developers of Zen Cart released a new version 1.5.6B. I have been watching all the bug reports and have not felt comfortable upgrading people to 1.5.6 until this version came out, which would include all the reported bug fixes and security fixes found in 1.5.6 and 1.5.6a. Check our upgrades section if you are interested in getting the latest, most secure version of Zen Cart to run your store with.

Zen Cart 1.5.6A Released

I hesitated to inform everyone that 1.5.6 was out in December of 2018, because several bugs were found in it after its release. All bug fixes are not done in 1.5.6a, so it should be ready to rock and roll! If you are unsure of the mods that might be installed, you will probably want to fill out our Request For Quote Form PRIOR to placing your order, so we can give you a list of what you have installed so you can determine if you still want/need these zen cart modifications or whether they have been updated to work with the latest version you are upgrading to.

MasterCart BIN 2 - You may need a patch!

Mastercard has already started rolling out their new cards beginning with the number 2. If your Zen Cart online store is operating at a version LOWER than 1.5.5b, then you need to either have a patch installed so these new numbers will be accepted, or better yet... upgrade to the latest version of Zen Cart . Obviously upgrading would be the most "responsible" thing to do for security of your data and your customers data.

PHPMailer 5.2.23 for 1.3.9 and above

A new version of PHPMailer has been released. It is important that all Zen Cart owners have their carts updated. PHPMailer admins have been notified of a security flaw in their software and have released a new version which fixes this flaw.
