As a Zencart website designer, I specialize in using Zen Cart for building e-commerce web sites because it has proven to be a powerful, flexible, search engine friendly, open source (free) shopping cart system. ZenCart provides you with a user friendly interface so you can maintain your online store, track inventory, sell downloadable digital products, collect payment for orders, print packing slips/invoices as well as providing an easy to use and personal shopping experience for your customers.

I have been designing ZenCart websites since its inception in 2003 and am completely enthralled with it's ease of use for my clients and it's functionality. As a Zen Cart designer, I will make sure that you have the store of your dreams - as near as possible to the way you envision it to be.   As part of my fee for building your zencart website, I also offer you guidance both verbal and/or written on how to maintain and operate your store. Unlike other web designers, my goal is NOT to have you dependant upon me or pay me large sums of money each month for "maintenance" of your zencart web site. My philosophy is to empower you to maintain your zen cart store so I can continue doing what I love most - designing more sites. I have had way too many people contact me because their web designer has disappeared on them, has stopped responding to emails, went out of business, etc... and they have been put in a lurch on their website. I definately would never want that to happen to one of my clients!

Turnaround time to design a zen cart website can vary depending upon how many sites I am currently have on my schedule and depending upon how quickly we communicate with each other on what you need.  I take clients on a first come/pay, first serve basis. I do not have a "team of professionals" that will work on your site - My son Tommy and I do all the work ourselves, so there is no miscommunication from "go-betweens" in getting your zen cart ecommerce website up and running. We usually have several websites a month that we work on, along with other clients that just want modifications or small projects / updates done and others that are upgrades. Once we schedule a site to be worked on, it is important that you send us the info needed prior to the scheduled start date so we don't have to put you back at the "end of the line" so to speak. We always try to schedule you at a time that is convenient for you.

Without modifications, Zen Cart currently has the e-commerce capabilites of accepting credit cards through: PayPal, Authorize.net, Linkpoint, Yourpay and through any service you use that you can hand enter the credit card information into online. It also allows you to accept checks and money orders. With Zen Cart Version 1.3.8, Paypal Web Payments Pro is integrated into it, so if you are hand entering payments into Paypal's virtual terminal... you may want to consider upgrading to this version because it ties in directly to Paypal and will process the credit card for you. Web Payments Pro for zencart also incorporates Paypal Express Checkout. Paypal Express Checkout is wonderful, because if the customer has not set up an account on your zen cart store, if they use Paypal Express Checkout - an account will automatically be created for them in your store! Very slick! Hats off to the developers of Zen Cart for this major ecommerce update to the zencart application.

Another AMAZING feature to Zen Cart is that you don't even HAVE to have a shopping cart on it and you can still have a nice, informational, professional looking website that you can control the content on as opposed to depending upon a web designer to update things when you need them updated.

Because of it's popularity, there are many zen cart modifications that programmers have made that will make your online store even more powerful. These modifications include, but are not limited to: Admin Profiles, How did you find out about us, Froogle/Google Data Feed, Forums, Easy Populate, Super Orders, PDF Catalogue generator and much much more.  The charge for me to install these mods for you are for the time spent for the ftp setup and installation and making sure everything is working properly and showing you how to USE them.  These Zen Cart mods are freely available on the zen-cart website should you wish to install them yourself if you have the skills and patience.  : )
